Suits. Season 2

USA via DCT

The first season of Suits had so much promise. I thought it could’ve been one of those shows that was almost as good as attending law school itself, where you learn stuff such as what motion to file for a certain case, or how to lift restraining orders with minimum paperwork, or how to buy time for injunctions. Stuff that would make the layman go, “Hey, you can’t do that to me. I know my rights. I watch Suits!”

USA
"But could you explain that in Mandarin?"

But that promise slowly disappeared by the end of Season 1, and by the second season, things had taken a different turn. Yes, there were still lawsuits and cases and clients. But the focus has now shifted to the dramatic side of working in a law firm. We have the power struggle between the name partners Pearson (Gina Torres) and Hardman (David Costabile). We also have the ever-fluctuating master-apprentice thing between Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). Then there’s also the despicably adorable Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) against practically everyone else in the building.

USA
That Litt-Bennett rivalry had so much potential. Too bad it was short-lived.

One good thing about this season, though: more women. There’s Zoe Lawford and Dana Scott, proving that Harvey is this show’s alpha male. There’s also Katrina Bennett, proving that you can still jack off to the office bitch. There’s also Sheila Sazs, proving that Louis isn’t gay. And finally, there’s Rachel Zane, who ends this season with a steamy sex scene in the file room.

USA
Who knew Meghan Markle was so limber?

Dear writers, when will Donna ever get laid?

USA
"No. Never."
